Finally, due to the requests of my eldest brother, I have decided to update (and there was much rejoicing *crowd cheers*...oh stop it, you're making me blush
...) so all three of you people out there in the world who read my blog will be happy! (I do what I can really..)
Well, the real reason I haven't updated in a while is because I have been- oh how should I say this- ...crazy, in-a-whirl, insanely busy
with the joys of academia (or something like that). I won't go into details about it, but suffice it to say that my time of late has been rather monopolized by school. (See what I mean, even my entries are starting to sound nerdy!?!) ...but I HAVE been able to sneak in some fun moments betwixt the moments of grueling study. ...and that's what this post is (eventually) about!! ...so now that I'm getting to the point...
This post is dedicated to you Kikers!
Last weekend was a fun-fest really and truly! I hit a wall by the time Friday came around and decided to do nothing but relax and par-tay!
Friday night Cedarville had their annual Alpha-Chi talent show, and since I am a member of Cedarville's own Gamma Chi (AX's sister org) I was there helpin' the brothers out. The theme for the evening was some type of tropical/loau thingy- so it was my job to lei people as they walked into the chapel (as a good Cedarville girl I decided to just hand the gentleman their leis...I know I am so virtuous
). It was really-super fun...there were some A-mazing acts, and of course I got to hang out with some pretty cool people!! Oh...to make matters really funny, it was like negative 8-gazillion degrees outside and I had the bright idea of wearing a tropical looking skirt and flip-flops to the shabang to get everyone feeling Hawaiian- needless to say I was a little on the chilly side heheh!
I don't really remember what I did on Saturday...I think I watched some movies (oh KC you're not going to believe this, but I actually watched Cool-Runnings!!! It's been like forever since we've seen that movie and I was just dying to watch it so we went out and rented it...it reminded me of the good old days- remember:"how 'bout I draw a line down the middle of your head and make it look like a butt?" hahaha!!!)...oh now I remember what I did...one of the girls who was in my adopted unit last year (who had to move and no longer goes to Cedarville- her name is Christine) came all the way out here from Arizona. So she, some of my girls, and I all hung out and had a grand old time. (oh- my roomie and I also rearranged our room so now it looks totally awesome- I lovee it!) ...and that was Saturday...
Sunday I woke up bright and early and went to church. After that I went off to the Price's house for lunch- Mrs. Price is the greatest cook in the whole wide world- except for mom of course... anyways I hung out at her house and played with her four sons (Nathan, Micah, Joel and Sean) and daughter (Danielle) - they are the sweetest kids!!! Then I ran off to Wal-mart to get some much needed things such as hair dye...cause we all know that hair dye is a necessity
... and I'm sorry to tell ya that once again it turned out a little different that anticipated. Do the words Michael Jackson mean anything to you? ..yeppers you guessed right... *sigh* some people just don't learn their lesson the first time around- I just happen to be one of those people... Sunday night was an absolute blast- Galloway, Feiler, Jim, Nic, Phil, and I all went to a steak house to get away from the intestinally uncomfortable land of chucks (no this was not a triple date, none of us like each other in any way shape or form other than friends- so you don't need to break any knee caps don't worry
). Phil and I had some fun times gambling our money away in this little slot machine-thingy...and I am happy to tell you that we got all our money back..now how we did THAT is another story and I'm not going to tell you about it either...hehehe! To make a long story short we all left with our bellies full of delicious food and our heads full of fun memories!! The rest of the night was fun too, but seeing as how this entry is getting unbearable long, I'll leave that part out...just know it had to do with fake teeth, hick accents, and Nic being really late to work...heheh!
Nothing really happened this whole week that was terribly exciting, with the exception of Wednesday- I love wednesdays because it's the night I get to teach at AWANA clubs!! I love my girls- they are the cutest in the world! ...this wednesday was a little different though, cause I got my finger-nail ripped off during game time and blacked out in the church kitchen when I was trying to clean it up...yeah...I don't deal with blood very well as you know all too well! but alas I now have a battle wound and have been repaid in full for the time I broke your big toe- by the way I still feel terrible about that- you have no idea (I think I must be the worst little sister EVER!!). "and that's all I have to say about that..."
And now it is Friday and I am done with classes- as my macro prof would say "yippe-skippy-peanut butter!!" I look forward to a long weekend full of papers and studying (as all my profs are trying to cram in one last assignment before the much anticipated event of the semester- SPRING BREAK!!!) - so remember me when you're out partying over there in China!!!
I hope this gives you a glimpse into my life... I love you much big-bro and can't wait to see you again!! Love and Kisses XOXOXO
